Karen Peters, affectionately known by friends and customers as the "Crazy Glass Lady" (CGL), has turned her love of vintage treasures into a fun and rewarding retirement venture. Originally from Fort Madison, Iowa, Karen now splits her time between the Midwest and Phoenix, Arizona, bringing inspiration from both regions to her carefully curated collection of vintage finds.
Before retiring in 2024, Karen spent 37 years working in the food manufacturing industry. After decades of dedication to her career, retirement provided the opportunity to pursue a longtime passion for collecting, treasure hunting, and discovering unique pieces with character and history. What began as a hobby quickly grew into an exciting new creative journey.
Today, Karen specializes in vintage Mid-Century Modern (MCM) glassware, vintage artwork, framed pictures, holiday décor, and one-of-a-kind gifts. She enjoys searching for distinctive pieces that stand out from the ordinary and give customers the chance to add personality, nostalgia, and timeless style to their homes.
Whether she is browsing antique shops, exploring estate sales, or uncovering hidden gems during her travels, Karen loves the thrill of finding special items that deserve a second life. Her collection reflects her appreciation for quality craftsmanship, beautiful design, and the stories that vintage pieces carry with them.
When she is not hunting for treasures, Karen enjoys traveling, reading, shopping, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
